The highest peak of Maharashtra, Kalsubai is situated in the Akole Taluka of Ahmednagar District. In a nutshell, it ensures one can experience grassland and forest, traverse mystique landscapes, and witness waterfalls.
It is believed that the Kalsubai Temple at the peak was built by locals in memory of a young village girl named, Kalsubai, who lived in the mountains. One day she left for the Kalsubai Shikhar and never returned. Therefore, people from nearby villages come to the summit every year to seek the blessings of Kalsubai Devi.

You need to carry trekking shoes, a raincoat, a torch (headtorch preferable), trek pants, dry-fit t-shirts, glares, mobile cover, water bottle socks, sanitiser, mask & personal First Aid.
The trek difficulty is measured to be moderately difficult because of the varied topography. Remember to calculate your BMI beforehand to analyse the difficulty rating for yourself (a higher BMI equals higher difficulty)
The trek alone takes approximately 5-6 hours.
The distance between Kalsubai Fort and Pune is approximately 170 km.
The distance between Kalsubai Fort and Mumbai is approximately 150 km.
