This long and steep canyon in the Sahyadri mountains has been beautifully carved between the creaks of the mountains. The Sandhan Valley trek goes through the 120 ft deep gorge which is approximately 1.5 km long. The trail would require wading through water where one can spot fish and huge rock barriers. The rappelling at Sandhan takes the spotlight during the descend as it is in Asia's 2nd largest valley.
The valley of shadow stands at a whopping height of 4255 ft from the sea level; therefore, the difficulty level of this summer trek of Maharashtra falls under moderate-difficult. The Sandhan valley is 188 km from Pune and 183 km from Mumbai. During summers the fitness level is a requisite because the sun is strong and can soak up all the energy.
